Biography
Olaonipekun is a dynamic leader and technology executive with a proven track record in driving innovation, strategic growth, and operational excellence across banking, fintech, and utility sectors. With over 20 years of experience, he has held key leadership positions including CEO, Business Development Manager, Project Manager, and Business Analyst, successfully leading teams through complex digital transformation projects. As the Founder and former CEO of Scratch ‘n’ Pay Limited, he grew the company’s revenue to ₦50 billion ($100M) within two years, earning recognition from Stanford Graduate School of Business as one of Africa’s fastest-growing startups.
Olaonipekun's marketing skills blend traditional principles with digital innovation. As CEO of XtremeTech Group, he focuses on building brand awareness, fostering trust, and engaging target audiences through data-driven strategies. His customer-centric approach ensures tailored solutions, long-term client relationships, and continuous optimization of marketing efforts, driving the company’s growth and market leadership across Africa.
He holds an MBA from the University of Calabar, a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and dual diplomas in Computer Science from Yaba College of Technology. He is also a graduate of the Stanford Seed Transformation Programme, with additional professional certifications in Scrum Mastery, Agile Foundations, UX/UI Design, and Data Analytics. At Interswitch Group, Olaonipekun worked as a Business Development Consultant, where he was instrumental in pioneering real-time online payment solutions. His work laid a foundation for Nigeria’s digital payments ecosystem, enabling faster, more secure transactions for Banks, Merchants, and Government entities.
He later joined Zenith Bank Plc, initially working in the Information Technology Department, where he implemented enterprise-grade payment systems across multiple sectors of the Nigerian economy. He subsequently moved to the E-Business Department, playing a key role in marketing and deploying digital banking products to public and private sector clients—contributing to Zenith Bank’s leadership in digital innovation.
